The band visited Ohio and competed in two of their OMEA Competitions in one day!

Dec 26-Jan 1: Webster participated the 2006 Fiesta Bowl National Championship of Bands with our field show and parade.The Band took 8th out of 12 bands overall in the competition and beat out the winning band in the parade!

March 5, 2005: The Webster Marching Band Boosters hosted the WHSMB Second Annual Indoor Winter Guard Spectacular at Willink Middle School! Twenty-eight visiting guards from the North East Colorguard Circuit performed. - BOA Regional, Bowling Green, KY

- First Annual Indoor Winter Guard Spectacular
March 27: The Webster Marching Band Boosters hosted the WHSMB First Annual Indoor Winter Guard Spectacular at Spry Middle School! Thirteen visiting guards from the North East Colorguard Circuit competed. - Webster Marching Band Day at Frontier Field
July 24: Members of the trumpet section had the honor of playing the National Anthem at the start of the Red Wings baseball game. The Red Wings beat the Louisville Bats 3-1 in front of a crowd of 6800. See photos in our Photo Gallery. - DCI Competition and Clinic
July 26: The band attended the Drum Corps International competition in Buffalo where they were also treated to a clinic with the Santa Clara Vanguard. Inspired by the cheers of their new Webster fans, the Santa Clara Vanguard finished in first place in a very close contest with The Cadets. Sept 18: Webster competed with 17 other bands in a Bands of America Regional competition at Paul Brown Tiger Stadium in Massillon, OH. - Webster's "Autumn Fanfare"
Oct 2: Webster hosted its 19th-annual New York State Field Band Conference competition at Webster H.S. on Saturday, October 2nd. Fourteen other bands participated with Webster performing in exhibition.

Oct 24: Webster performed with 51 other high school bands in this all-day annual New York state-wide competition at the Syracuse University Carrier Dome! - Half-time Show - Section V Class AA Football Championship
Oct 31: Webster performed their full field show at half-time as Webster Schroeder and Webster Thomas High Schools faced each other in the Section V Class AA Championship Game at the University of Rochester's Fauver Stadium. Thomas defeated Schroeder 28-26. - BOA Grand Nationals Competition
Nov 4-6: Webster visited Indianapolis, Indiana where they were one of 93 high school bands participating in the Bands of America Grand Nationals field competition.

The music, "The Red Pony", is Coplands music score for the movie of the same name. The movie is derived from John Steinbecks book, "The Red Pony", four short stories, set on the same ranch, utilizing the same characters that tell the story of growing up. The addition of "Grover's Corner" rounds out the program utilizing the familiar style we know as Copland.

Oct 7: Webster participated with 23 other bands from New York and other states in this Bands of America Eastern Regional competition in Hempstead, NY. Webster qualified for the finals and finished in 5th place! - Webster's "Autumn Fanfare"
Oct 21: Webster hosted its 15th-annual New York State Field Band Conference competition at Webster H.S. on Saturday, October 21st. Fifteen high school bands entertained for what may be Webster's biggest crowd ever! - NYSFBC Championship
Oct 29: Webster joined 39 other bands in this all-day annual New York state-wide competition at the Syracuse University Carrier Dome!

- New Marching Band Director!
As of March 1, 1999, Dick Fischette is Webster's new marching band director. Dick Fischette was formerly Webster's caption head for the visual staff. Paul Maginn, who started the marching band in 1984, was director for most of its existence. He decided to spend more time with his family, but is continuing as a music instructor in Webster. - Staff

On October 2nd Webster participated with 29 bands from other states in this Bands of America Eastern Regional competition in Toledo, Ohio. This was an all-day event which started at 8:00am and didn't finish until 11:15pm! Webster placed 7th in the finals. - Webster's "Autumn Fanfare"
On Saturday, October 16th Webster hosted its 14th-annual New York State Field Band Conference competition at Webster H.S. Fifteen high school bands performed in one place for a fantastic evening!
We offer our apologies to the participating bands and the spectators for the confusion with the Autumn Fanfare agenda. (We had listed the performance order incorrectly within some of the classes.) :-( - NYSFBC Championship
On October 24th Webster participated with 39 other bands in this annual New York state-wide competition at the Syracuse University Carrier Dome and placed 2nd in their class!
- BOA Grand Nationals competition
On November 11-13, Webster visited Indianapolis, Indiana where they were one of 80 high school bands (and the only one from New York State) participating in the BOA Grand Nationals field competition. We did make it to the semi-finals, but not the finals this year. - Webster HS Football half-time show at the state semi-finals!
Webster performed at our football team's state semi-finals game in Syracuse at The Dome. Webster (the football team) won, so they're going the state championship on Saturday, November 27th! Congratulations!!

This is a summary of just the competitions in which Webster participated for 1998. - Fiesta Bowl Band Championship - Phoenix, Arizona
January 1st, 1999: Webster took second place and several caption awards at the 1998 Fiesta Bowl National Championship of Bands. Part of the group was stranded in Phoenix for an extra day due to a winter storm in Chicago. (More details) - Fiesta Bowl Parade - Phoenix, Arizona
January 2nd, 1999: Webster led the 1998 Fiesta Bowl Parade and was awarded second in their class and second in Marching. - BOA at Morgantown
October 3rd: Webster participated with 27 bands from other states in this Bands of America Eastern Regional competition in Morgantown, West Virginia. Webster Placed 2nd in their class in prelims, and 3rd overall in finals. Webster also was awarded Highest Achievement Awards for Outstanding Visual in both prelims (tie) and finals! - Webster's "Autumn Fanfare"
October 17th: Webster hosted its 13th-annual New York State Field Band Conference competition at Webster H.S. It was warm and dry (for a change)! - NYSFBC Championship
October 25th: Webster participated with 38 other bands in this annual New York state-wide competition at the Syracuse University Carrier Dome and placed second in their class. - Buffalo Bills Pre-Game & Half-Time Show
November 22: Webster was invited to perform at a Buffalo Bills football game in Buffalo on November 22. Buffalo played Indianapolis for "Rochester Day" at the stadium. To a crowd of about 49,000, Webster played a pre-game and a half-time show, and the Bills beat the Colts 34 to 11. Thanks to the Bills organization for the opportunity and the fantastic way they treated us! - Webster High School Football Half-Time Show at Class AA section V finals
Congratulations to the Webster High School Varsity football team which made the Class AA section V finals! On November 8th, they competed against Fairport at the University of Rochester Fauver Stadium. The Webster High School Marching Band performed at half-time.
