Regional Championship
As in past years the earlybirds boarded the Bluebirds (buses that is) for a 6:30am departure from Webster High School. The weather was uneventful (that's good!) for the entire trip, including a practice stop in-route. Arriving in Toledo at 6pm, the group had dinner at a local mall then converged on the hotel at 8pm. To match the early start of the day, an early "lights out" was called to get everyone rested for the big day.

This morning, everyone was up at 7:30 for a buffet breakfast in the hotel, then left for practice at 9am. The band performed a little after 2pm today and did an excellent job! The weather was in the 60's with clouds. Very good for the show. There were a few drops of rain about 30 minutes after the show but that stopped. We need to keep our fingers crossed that the rain holds off this evening.
Although Webster did not place in their class, they did make the finals. They perform 2nd at about 8pm.
The finals are complete! Webster placed 7th with a score of 77.85. Now it's pizza party time!
A 10:45 departure started the tired group on their way home. A rest & food stop in Cleveland and Erie broke up the long trip home. Parents and friends welcomed the weary travelers home at about 8:15pm.
